Gum Camera - You Too Can Be A Spy

Posted in: Popular Products    |    Comment

gum camera

Everyone wants to be a spy/double agent. I know (for a fact) that I’m not the only one who has talked on an (imaginary) shoe phone, tried to construct a passenger-ejector seat, or dreamed of the day I’d have my own camera disguised as a credit card (or a lapel pin).

Getting to be a spy is hard – it requires a lifetime of dedication and training. You’ll probably never get close. But now, thanks to Q-like inventors, you can have your own disguised camera. That’s right. $128 dollars will get you a 1GB camera the size of a pack of gum.

The camera, which weighs in at 18 grams, shoots audio and color video. It comes with a rechargeable battery that you refuel by way of USB-port, and in a single charging, it’s supposed to record up to 2 hours of video (though that’s probably without color and without audio). Best of all, the camera is literally the size of a pack of gum. You could buy a pack, take out the gum, and put this camera inside (with a cutout for the camera-eye). Do that, and you have an ultra-cool spy camera, capable of shooting anything you need covertly?

Suspect someone’s eating your cake in the break room? Get to the bottom of it. Want to know what your spouse is REALLY doing on guys/girls night out? Get to the bottom of that too. Need to secretly record a confidential conversation you can use for blackmailing a government official later? You can do that as well.

It’s an ultimate spy tool… available so you too can be a double-0. That’s freakin’ cool!

It can be found here.

Technasonic Check-GO Sweet Spot Finder

Putting is hard. REALLY hard. You don’t need your equipment to make it harder.

But if you’re putting with an imbalanced ball, that’s what’s happening. You’ve probably seen it before. You read the green right, you approached the ball right, and you struck a great putt. It was headed right to the back of the cup, then, at the last minute, it veered to one direction or the other. No birdie, no par save. Just another (needless) stroke on your scorecard. It’s maddening.

And if you play enough, it probably happens a lot. That’s because almost no golf ball is manufactured to be perfectly round. Each one is uniquely lopsided, and thus, each one has a uniquely off-centered roll. One may roll to the right, another may hook off to the left. You just don’t know.

Well, you can now. That is, you can find the center of each golf ball with the Technasonic Check-GO Golf Ball Sweet Spot Finder. The way it works is that you take the cover off the Check-Go, place your ball into it, and start the machine. It spins your ball long enough so it starts revolving around the center (remember that each ball is slightly different). Then, you insert the marker (which is included) into the right slot, and it marks where that ball’s center actually is.

After you’ve done this, each ball will be individually marked for you. You’ll know where the center is, and you’ll know where to strike the ball (to make it go straight). It’ll help your driving, your mid-range game, and especially, your putting. You won’t have to worry about the ball dipping or diving either way. You’ll be able to focus on your reads, your ball-striking, and you’ll be able to focus on putting the ball in the cup.

Of course, there’s still a lot of work to do on the driving range and on the practice greens. But the difference is now, that practice will go to good use. You won’t waste otherwise perfect shots because of your equipment, and you won’t throw away well-earned scoring opportunities because of a bad roll. You’ll get what you deserve. You’ll score better, and you’ll have a lot more confidence in your game.

Sound great, right. Well then, what are you waiting for? Go get one! You can find it at: http://www.golfiseasy.com/checkgo.html

Let Your Wine Breathe

Check out the Vinturi Wine Aerator in action!

For some, drinking wine is just about relaxing after a hard day, or enjoying someone else’s company. For many others though, it’s a complex hobby, even an art. You might even be one of them – you spend a lot of time buying the right bottles at the right price, and spend a lot of effort making sure your food compliments a particular wine (and vice versa). You may even have a cellar of your own, and have special openers, special glasses, and so on.

If you are this person, you know that for many wines, aerating them before drinking them is important. For most reds and some whites, aeration allows the wine to breath, and thus brings out the best smells and the best flavor. It enhances what’s special about a particular bottle, and makes your drinking experience all that much better.

However, you probably know also that aeration can be tricky, and it can be a hassle. Some people try to just uncork the bottle, and let it sit for a little while before drinking it. But this doesn’t work – not enough air can get in the narrow neck of the bottle. Others use a decanter or just pour their glasses for a bit before drinking. Both of these methods are serviceable, but both can be annoying, cumbersome, and time-consuming. Not to mention they’re both imprecise. Especially with older red wines (+8 years), the product can be finicky – it has a real short period where aeration helps, after which the flavor starts to decay. You don’t want that.

That’s where the new Vinturi Wine Aerator comes in. It’s a really cool and really helpful new product. It’s a funnel of sorts - you pour your wine from the bottle, through it to your glass. But in the middle, the aerator mixes the wine with precisely the right amount of air, giving it the best aroma and flavor. You get exactly the right outcome, without any of the hassle. Best of all, aeration happens instantly. You don’t have to plan ahead or pour ahead. Just pour your glass whenever you actually want it.

That’s pretty sweet. No matter if you’re the resident wine expert, or just the recreational drinker trying to enjoy wine at its’ best, it’ll work for you. It’ll give you the best possible drinking experience, with the least amount of hassle. Sounds good to me!

I’m sure I’m not alone here. I’m sure this happened to us all. You’re eating yogurt at your desk (because you’re so busy - who has time to chew?). You eat most of it, and all that’s left is the bit at the bottom. You want it bad, but you can’t get to it - your spoon can’t reach. Your tools are letting you down… standing between you and your well-deserved last bits of yogurt. Heartbreaking.

Well. No longer. There’s now a yogurt spoon designed specifically to solve this problem. A stroke of genius engineering meant to capture every last bit of goodness. Introducing the yogurt spoon:

Here’s how it works:

Who Want Some Absinthe… Legally

Posted in: Popular Products    |    Comment

Alright, it’s getting to be summer here in the US. Time for picnics, BBQ’s, and cook outs. Time to fire up the grill, turn baseball on the radio, and sit back with a nice glass of…. Absinthe?

Yep, that’s right. www.mypopcornmachine.com is selling an absinthe home-brewing kit. Even though you can’t buy the supposedly-hallucinogenic drink this side of Amsterdam, you can make your own tripping-brew at home. The kit comes with two packets of what My Popcorn Machine calls the ‘finest-quality’ organic herbs, plus some sugar and a filtration system. Basically, you put the first pack of herbs (the main extract) into the filter, and into a liter of generic alcohol to soak for five days. Then afterward, you soak the second pack of herbs (the flavoring) along with the sugar cubes in the alcohol for an additional three days.

After all this, you get green absinthe… basically a super-strong version of the alcohol you put in to start. It probably tastes bad, and probably is too strong to actually drink in any real quantities (think paint thinner), but then again, it is absinthe (and it is pretty cool).

You can see the kit and the description at: http://www.mypopcornmachine.com/ab.html
